While Constantine died before the filming of 2023âs My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3, the plot of the movie paid tribute to the actor, revolving around a family trip to Greece intended to honor his characterâs last wish.
The original filmâs writer, director and star, Nia Vardalos, shared a tribute to Constantine on Instagram shortly after his death, telling fans that she had his blessing to do a third film without him.
âHe had told me he wouldnât be able to join us for the third film and his wish was that we go on. I wrote the screenplay to reflect Michaelâs decision and will always treasure his last messages to me,â she wrote in the September 2021 post.
