The building known for being the Friends apartment building, has been sold for $32.7 million in New York City's West Village
Thousands of fans flock to the location every year to pay tribute to the beloved comedy, which was actually filmed in Burbank, Calif.
Rachel, Monica, Chandler and Joey lived across the hall from each other through much of the show's run from 1994 to 2004
The beloved Friends apartment building has been sold for a price that will make fans say, "Oh. My. God."
The New York City building, which became famous as the home of the Friends characters located at 90 Bedford Street in Manhattan's West Village, sold for $32.7 million in an off-market deal to JP Real Estate Group Limited, an international investor, according to The Real Deal. Michael Sherman of Baseline Real Estate Advisors brokered the deal.
Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Monica (Courteney Cox), Joey (Matt LeBlanc) and Chandler (Matthew Perry) lived in the lower Manhattan building across the hall from each other for much of the series.
The facade became famous immediately after it made its debut in an establishing shot in 1994, and the six-story building became nearly as recognizable as the main cast, rounded out by David Schwimmer's Ross and Lisa Kudrow's Phoebe.

The apartment building, which houses 21 units, was previously bought in February 2024 by Jeff Sutton’s Wharton Properties for $18.25 million. Many of the apartments were renovated following the 2024 purchase.
The building's retail space at street level features the Mediterranean restaurant Little Owl.
Fans who want to live where the Friends characters lived may have to wait, however. Per StreetEasy, none of the one- to four-bedroom units are available to rent at the moment.
The building was originally built between 1898 and 1899, The New Yorker reports. Through the years, hundreds of fans have visited the steps of the West Village spot, taking pictures of the building on the corner of Bedford and Grove.
It is also featured as a stop on tours focused on shows and movies filmed in the Big Apple.
After Perry died in October 2023, fans paid tribute to the late actor, placing flowers, notes and other mementos outside 90 Bedford.

Despite New York being the home and main location for the series, the show was actually filmed on a soundstage at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, Calif.
Fans looking for a way to experience what the inside of the Friends apartments were like, along with Central Perk, the fountain from the opening credits and other cherished locations can visit the Friends experience in Manhattan.
Friends, which aired from 1994 to 2004, is available to stream on HBO Max.
