Whoopi Goldberg is giving Donald Trump a taste of his own medicine. **
During Thursday's episode of *The View*, the EGOT winner accused the president of having âObama and Biden Derangement Syndromeâ after he claimed to have âinherited a messâ from the previous Biden administration during his year-end address on Wednesday night. **
âHe always likes to say people have Trump derangement,â Goldberg said. âBut I feel like heâs got Obama and Biden Derangement Syndrome, because he said their names I donât know how many times. You canât keep going to that well. That well is dry.â

Speaking directly to Trump, she continued, âThis is on you! You did this! This is what youâve put together. Itâs not them, itâs nobody but you. Itâs you.â
Trump has claimed that several prominent figures â most recently late director Rob Reiner â suffer from a fictional ailment called Trump Derangement Syndrome. The 79-year-old former reality star claimed on social media that the syndrome led Reiner to drive "people CRAZY" with his "raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump" and "his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness."**
He has also lashed out repeatedly at both Joe Biden and Barack Obama throughout his time in office, most recently by installing plaques that mock their presidencies in the White House.

Speaking about Trump's address, *View* cohost Sunny Hostin explained that she sought help from âProfessor ChatGPTâ to verify his many claims. âHe lied so many times that I actually couldnât catch up,â she said.
That includes Trumpâs claim that prices on prescription drugs would be cut âas much as 400, 500, and 600 percentâ thanks to his intervention. âWell, Professor ChatGPT says that that is mathematically impossible,â Hostin said. âAnd, even if the president got the companies to reduce the prices of all their drugs to zero, that would only be a 100 percent cut. Itâs not possible.â**
Alyssa Farah Griffin joked, âYou will get paid for those drugs!â

The Republican cohost noted that three things really stood out to her about the address.
âHe didnât preview any major economic policies that are actually going to bring costs down. Weâre going into a new year and weâre just supposed to hope that itâs the hottest country on Earth and something happens?â Griffin asked. âA lot of why costs are so high are his own tariff regimen. If he rolled those back, a lot of consumer costs would come down.â **
She also called out Trumpâs âlack of compassionâ for those struggling to make ends meet right now. âI get it, heâs a wealthy person surrounded by wealthy people,â Griffin said, âbut all my family group chats are about how everything is so expensive right now and he needs to get how Americans feel.â

Griffin also claimed that Trump sabotaged his own accomplishments by deciding to âmake up statsâ that can be easily disproven through fact-checking. âYou undermine your own point when you kinda throw something out of thin air,â she added. **
Still, she did give him credit on his $1776 bonus for troops, although Goldberg wasnât sure that those checks would ever actually be sent. âLetâs see if they get the checks,â Goldberg remarked. âI want to see them get it first.â **
However, Griffin stressed that âall Americans need help right now and just a handout isnât the answer, smart policies are the answer.â
